Assigned Summer Reading
- If the schools have assigned summer reading, these book groups are a possibility.
- We must have at least 6 students per book.
- The book must be purchased from Teachers’ Heaven and a nominal fee will be charged each week.
- If you have specific study guides bring them, if not, we will concentrate on the literary components that should be included in the study of literature.
- A group such as this will insure that your child is not waiting until the week before school begins to start an in-depth reading of several books. In addition, it will allow instruction and discussion to motivate him or her. This is a way to get the maximum out of summer reading.
- These groups will meet one evening each week to avoid a conflict with summer jobs and all of the activities that young people should enjoy in the summer. We want to start in June.
